288 | V88
Height, linen light and quiet stone.
V88 is a private residence in Grand Views, Meydan, now under construction and planned around a double-height living room. Full-height sheers soften the light from tall windows; walls are wrapped in a linen-textured finish and fluted timber, with a floating panel of white marble for the media wall.
Deep green marble appears in narrow seams — in the shelving and in the timber-clad hall — against a calm base of pale stone floors, low upholstered seating, timber and soft leather.

One tall room, and restraint around it.
V88 is a private residence in Grand Views, Meydan, Dubai, currently under construction. The interior is organised around a double-height living room, and the rest of the design answers to that height. Rather than filling the volume, the surfaces are kept calm so that light, proportion and a few precise materials carry the space.
Tall windows are screened by full-height sheers, and low upholstered seating keeps the eye level down while the room rises above it. A linen-textured finish wraps the high walls; the media wall is a floating panel of white marble set against fluted timber. Green marble is used sparingly, as narrow seams in the shelving and in the timber-clad hall, where it reads almost as a drawn line. Sage leather lounge chairs and an abstract wool rug add colour, and a sculptural artwork hangs above the dining table.
In a Meydan villa built around a double-height room, the risk is a space that feels empty rather than generous. V88 avoids it by keeping the furniture low and the materials few, so the height reads as light and calm. The sheers matter in Dubai's sun: they filter the glare from the tall windows without shutting out the view or the daylight. Thin seams of green marble in the hall and the shelving give the pale base a thread of colour that carries you through the house. Under construction in Grand Views, V88 is a residence from IAIA, rooted in interior architecture.
