150-3 | Royal Family Private Majlis
Domes, palms and gold.
A private majlis in Sharjah. The sitting lounge is a round room under a gilded dome, with a continuous banquette in striped gold upholstery and palms set against the night outside. The Moroccan majlis has a pierced, star-patterned ceiling, carved arches and a carpet in violet and white.
A formal majlis in cream and gold, a dining room for a long table, an office and a washroom with an inlaid marble floor follow. The private rooms are softer: a master living room and bedroom in teal and cream, a bathroom in black and white marble with gold, and bedrooms in pale blue and in gold stripes.

The visit starts in the sitting lounge, round and domed, with palms outside after dark. The Moroccan majlis comes next, its ceiling cut through in stars above carved arches. The formal rooms follow: the cream and gold majlis, the dining room, the office and the washroom. Past these, the master suite changes register entirely, to teal and cream, and the bedrooms beyond end the sequence in pale blue and gold stripes.
Polka-dot and striped upholstery dresses the lounge banquette, adding pattern beneath the plain gold of the dome. In the Moroccan majlis, a violet lattice carpet echoes the geometry overhead. A Persian carpet anchors the formal majlis in a more traditional key. In the master bathroom, veined white and black marble sets a sharp contrast, lifted by gold. This majlis is in Sharjah.
