230 | Private Apartment
Quiet greys, dark timber and teal.
This private apartment in Beirut is drawn in a calm, tonal palette. Walls are lined in grey-washed timber and a long slab of white veined marble, linear lights run across the ceilings, and pale stone floors carry through from the entrance to the reception rooms.
The main salon gathers low white sofas around a linear fireplace on a patterned rug, with a dining room and a family room alongside, each lifted by teal velvet and large abstract paintings. The bedrooms turn warmer and more enclosed: dark ebony panelling with a lit shelf in one, soft upholstered wall panels and teal throws in another, and a master bedroom in grey timber with a padded headboard wall.

From the stone hall to the ebony room
The apartment opens from its entrance straight into the salon, where the fireplace gives the first focus. The dining room and the family room lie alongside, the first under its drum pendants, the second more informal. Further in, the bedrooms grow quieter and warmer room by room, ending in the master bedroom with its padded wall.
Veined white marble lines the salon wall, a long, bright surface behind the seating. In the bedrooms the tone darkens: ebony veneer panels one room, rich and close, while upholstered grey panels soften another, absorbing sound and light. Teal recurs across the rooms in velvet and throws, linking the cool greys of the salon to the warmth of the bedrooms. The apartment is in Beirut.
